PORTFOLIOS: Areas of involvement are divided into portfolios. The portfolio director and officers work together to organize events and services within the relevant portfolio to benefit our members. ACYA LTU has four portfolios:
- Education Portfolio
- Social Portfolio
- Careers Portfolio
- General Portfolio
To make it easier for members to volunteer and participate in the running the of ACYA LTU, there are a number of established positions that members can fill. But we are always looking to grow and adapt to serve our membership. If you have any ideas for additional events or services, please feel free to get in touch with us. If you are not already involved, and want to become an ACYA LTU team member, just fill out this form.
EDUCATION PORTFOLIO: The education portfolio oversees all issues relating to education and learning. It informs members of educational opportunities within the university and more broadly, such as scholarships, public lectures, language classes, and so on. In addition to informing students about these opportunities, the education portfolio also organizes and delivers services within the university that aid in educating members about Australian-Chinese affairs, language study, and so on. The education director works with a team of offices to plan, organize, and run events and services that help increase education opportunities amongst members, and to promote events and services being run externally.
SOCIAL PORTFOLIO: The social portfolio integrates new and existing members within the association, and within the university and community generally. It runs social events within ACYA LTU, as well as informing members of events being run externally, with the aim of helping students extend their social interactions. The social director works with a team of offices to plan, organize, and run events and services that foster social contact and relationship building amongst members.
CAREERS PORTFOLIO: The careers portfolio oversees all issues relating to careers and employment. It informs members of career opportunities such as internships, networking events, and so on. The careers director works with a team of offices to plan, organize, and run events and services that offer career-building opportunities amongst members, and to promote events and services being run externally.
GENERAL PORTFOLIO: The general portfolio oversees those areas that do not fall within the education, social, or careers portfolios. The general portfolio includes important areas such as translation, communications, marketing, graphic design, and so on.
